Bullet1 Here are various exercises to perfect the step combinations of the traditional danzas of Gipuzkoa. These exercises are know as mudanzas and are made up of eight beat musical phrases. With respect to the rhythm, 2/4 and 5/8 beat zortzikos and hasierako doinuak (introductory melodies) with a 4/4 and 6/8 beat can be used.

Bullet1 The mudanzas allow the dantzari to learn how to form the choreographic structure of the Gipuzkoa danzas. Each of these mudanzas has eight beats or points. The dantzari has to perform the first six points with the help of a few rules and carrying out different step sequences. The two last steps are used to end the phase.
