As its name indicates, this step is mainly danced at the end of the dance. It starts with a leap, followed by a spin leap and then immediately afterwards, steps forwards and backwards to finish with a scissor leap. The steps forwards and backwards are performed as follows:  beginning with the right leg, four short steps are taken backwards , followed by two longer step forwards ending with the scissor leap.  These steps forwards and backwards provide the necessary impulsion to perform the scissor leap that finishes the azken-azkena. | | |
