Leg lift (oin-punta gailur) is used to refer to the movement consists in the dancer stretching his leg forwards and lifting it as high as possible. A txingo is performed with one foot and, using the impulsion that this provides, the other leg is lifted as high as possible. When the leg is lifted, the knee has to be kept straight, without being bent, and when it is lower, the dancer has to touch the tip of the foot on the floor. When this movement is performed, the dantzari has to keep his body straight and not bend at the waist or back.
The leg lift can be performed with the right and left leg, and when the dantzari starts from the initial position, he can dance the txingo either with the leg in front or behind.
