As in all the ancient melodies, the dantzari chooses the steps to perform the punta motz. Apart from the rules set out in the chapter dedicated to the old melodies, the structure of each old melody has to be taken into account for the choreographic composition This is what Juan Ignacio Iztueta says about this old melody: “The punta motz has 4 parts and 21 points. The first part is played twice and the other only one, which consists of 13 points and a total of 29 points has to be danced as follows: The first part has 8 points and the dantzari has to take 8 The second part has 13 points and the dantzari has to take 4, 4, 5.
