A txingo is performed with the right foot and the left foot is lifted backwards, keeping it well stretched out into the air. Keeping the left foot in the air, a demi-plié is performed with the right foot and the dancer jumps: he lifts the right leg up and taps it against the left leg first below and then on top. The left foot is lowered to the floor and the right foot is held in the air and stretched out fully behind.

The leap backward is performed as follows:

Immediately the frontward leap is concluded, [the dancer], lifting the left foot and keeping it well stretched out behind, he has to hit the right foot against it above and on top, and when he places the left foot on the floor, he has to rapidly extend the right foot out behind as quickly as he can.
