The sorgin-dantza is danced in Lasarte-Oria on June 29th, St. Peter’s Day. The group leaves Oria at 18.30 hours and two hours later the performance ends in the square in Lasarte. The sorgin-dantza is danced at the beginning, the middle and the end of the route.

The sorgin-dantza is danced by 16 dantzaris and a leader. The dantzaris are divided in intxisuak (fairies) and sorginak (witches) The intixisus wear a conical hat and the witches are men dressed as women. Many local residents follow the musical group that accompanies the dancers and they dance the sorgin-dantza.

On June 23rd, St. John’s Eve, the Erketz dance group from Lasarte-Oria dance the soka-dantza together with the town councillors. The dance is performed in the Andatza square at 21.30 after the San Juan dantza.
